Reading this article made me realize a lot of things. I did not know the extent as to how much FEMA was paying for housing for misplaced victims, however, I do not think it is morally right to throw people of out hotels without providing them a different means of living. Hurricanes are natural disasters, which nobody can prevent. FEMA has done a lot to contribute to the needs of hurricane victims, but in this case, a lot is not enough. Many people lost their entire lives, and still do not have a solid understanding of what is to happen. Hurricane Katrina has a estimated 800 million dollars in damage, and the government has said they do not know how long the clean up is going to take, yet they are ready to push people out of hotels and such because they no longer want to pay. I understand that hotels have to make money as well, but one would think they would lower prices for people who have no where else to go. As easy as it is to say, I would suggest people to move away from Lousiana, and start their lives somewhere else.
